Terms of Use
1. Acceptance of these terms
By using RiseWell, including the anonymous check-in tool and the community center staff dashboard, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you are a community center making RiseWell available to teens at your facility, you also agree to the responsibilities described in Section 5.
2. What RiseWell is, and is not
RiseWell is a self-reflection and resource-connection tool. It is designed to help teens notice patterns in how they're doing and point them toward age-appropriate community, school, or self-guided resources.
RiseWell is NOT:
- A medical device, diagnostic tool, or substitute for professional mental health evaluation or treatment.
- A crisis service or emergency response system. RiseWell does not monitor submissions in real time and cannot dispatch help.
- A substitute for a trusted adult, school counselor, or licensed provider.
3. Eligibility and use by minors
RiseWell is intended for use by teens, including those under 13, in the context of a participating community center's programs. Because RiseWell does not collect personal information from users, it does not require account creation or age verification by the teen. Community centers are responsible for determining how RiseWell fits within their own supervision and consent practices for minors.
4. Anonymous use, no accounts for teens
The check-in flow requires no account, login, or identifying information. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to delete tied to an individual, because no individual-level record exists.
5. Community center ("partner") responsibilities
A community center that makes RiseWell available to its members agrees to:
- Use RiseWell as a supplementary tool, not as a replacement for its own safety and crisis-response procedures.
- Ensure staff with dashboard access understand that aggregate data reflects group trends only and cannot and should not be used to identify or single out an individual teen.
- Not attempt to correlate check-in timing, device, or any other signal with a specific teen.
- Direct any teen expressing an active safety concern to appropriate local resources or emergency services, independent of anything RiseWell does or does not display.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to bypass, probe, or interfere with RiseWell's anonymity protections or security controls.
- Submit check-ins programmatically, in bulk, or for any purpose other than genuine self-reflection use.
- Use the staff dashboard to attempt to identify an individual respondent.
- Use RiseWell in any way that violates applicable law.
7. Intellectual property
Rise 'N' Reach owns RiseWell's software, design, and content. Community centers are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to make RiseWell available to their members for its intended purpose.
8. No warranty
RiseWell is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that the resources shown will be accurate, currently available, or appropriate for every individual's situation. Resource listings are reviewed periodically but availability, hours, and eligibility at any given provider can change without notice.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rise 'N' Reach is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of RiseWell, including reliance on any resource or recommendation shown by the tool. RiseWell is a self-reflection and resource-referral aid; it does not replace professional judgment, emergency services, or a community center's own safety obligations.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of RiseWell after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
